Played through the Emy+MC ending, and am going through the other ending(s?) now, so obviously I've enjoyed it and it's been captivating enough to keep my interest, however, a big piece of criticism I have is that there is so much about how the characters interact that is extremely unlikely in real life. I mean the simple things in the dialogue that boil down to an obvious disconnect between how male and female nature interact in the real world, and how things are portrayed between the characters, but that are essential to the story because they're all part of the relationship tug-of-war between the characters. I know it's a fantasy story, but it does bother me when the writing isn't simply a stretch of the imagination but simply bad, and shows a misunderstanding of humankinds motivations, attractions, and turnoffs. I think with a little bit of rewriting to have more of the dialog thats currently incongruent with these things become congruent, the writing could go to a whole new level that people would 'feel' that congruency with, and therefore enjoy the story more. I think this is also a big part of why people love Eternum because it does this good enough, and most of these AVNs do it pretty badly...
I'd be very happy to offer an example/examples and a full breakdown/ breakdowns of different interactions and where the disconnects are if the team care to want to know. Without saying too much, understanding interpersonal and intersexual dynamics, and using them to my advantage, and teaching others about these things and how to get better results in all relationships are my biggest skills and what I make my living from.

Wow!! With the Chapter one finally ending I can only say this VN has one of the best stories and animations out there. I followed the harem path without the walkthrough and I loved every bit of it till the end. And I'm curious about what's coming next.

Please keep in mind that when you choose to reference someone elses IP, not everyone loves the same things and it could cost you. Even if it is just the support of someone as insignificant as myself.
I was once a fan of Eternum and Caribdis. I noticed after some time that with each release that the Dev time was longer and longer. I added it all up and worked out that it was taking over 6 months for each release, which in my opinion was way too long.
I was a paying customer through Itch.
I asked why. I got no response. I got angry with being ignored and started acting out. I got blocked. Now I will oppose Caribdis in all things.
It's fair to be impatient, though I have no experience in making this kind of thing so I can't comment on the speed in which these VNs are being made. However, I think the stories they tell and the emotions they create are worthwhile enough.
It seems that all VN studios that create quality work take time, and burnout is a cruel maiden. As long as these stories are given the opportunity to be concluded, I don't mind waiting.
Hopefully you find a dev/dev-team that suits your pace, have a good one!
Managing customer expectations is very important when it comes to purchasing an expectation of work. Were you misled into believing the development times would be notably shorter than they turned out to be, or do you simply 'feel' the development times were too long? The former would be the fault of the creator and I would expect this to lose them some customers, while the latter would be the fault of you for asserting an expectation based on nothing.
There was actually a poll on Patreon a long while ago where Cari put on a vote whether he should go for longer dev times with meatier content or keep the shorter dev times which Cari was using at the time (3-4 months per update). Guess which option won?

This is surprising and unfortunate to read. Eternnum is objectively the best illustrated, written, choreographed, and plot-rich game in the genre and you're executing a personal vendetta against it because you let your impatience get the best of you, behaved poorly, and got yourself justifiably blocked. To top it off, rather than look inwardly and expand the internal limitations that caused your predicament, you've doubled down on the pettiness and are now even allowing it to bleed into your interactions with a completely different developer. I'd strongly recommend some daily self-reflection.
good evening, I just finished episode 7 of the prologue and I have never been so sad this story touches me so much thank you for such a magnificent game can't wait to see the sequel (yes I really have tears especially with Emma when the mc remembers his name "Emy")
Okay, so I've finally finished playing all the way to end of the update with the modded walkthrough, and also did Emma's solo ending. I'm still missing those four gallery images and a couple scenes. I'm very thankful for the modded walkthrough, as I initially got to end without it and didn't realize I got kicked out of Aine's, Gwen's, and Karla's routes. I was also wondering why I didn't get all of their scenes, so yeah.
Sad to see Lily is going to be gone for a while. Hope she's back soon. She's by far the hottest girl in the game, with Gwen and Aine close behind for me.
Btw: Emma's 2nd and 3rd scenes are only unlockable in her solo route, and the 3rd scene is only unlocked if you chose to get her pregnant during the 2nd scene.
Also, are you friends with Eternum's developer or something? Like I know VNs like to reference other VNs, but you went as far as to include actual characters from Eternum, like Alex, and apparently Moon (although I don't remember seeing Moon in Eternum).
After finishing Emma's solo route, I'm wondering if there's some weird alternate timeline/time travel shit going on here? I assume that story is complete right? Her route is not getting anymore updates?
in Emma's solo route. The ending doesn't make sense with the age. How does the MC look so old, but Leah still looks so young? There can't have been that much of an age difference.
Also, PLEASE make an option to see the name of the music, there's this specific song after telling Naomi about the MC an aide on her couch, and I love it. (I found it tho, it's Sultan's Swing by IBY and Ty Simon, I found it with Shazam)

I used the walkthrough but didnt get the last 2 scenes for moon... is it a bug?
You probably messed up, because I got all her scenes with the walkthrough
You can just retry really and you guys use walkthroughs I got all mine and didn't use any you just need to have saves ready during choices..

Eternnum is objectively the best illustrated, written, choreographed, and plot-rich game in the genre and you're executing a personal vendetta against it because you let your impatience get the best of you, behaved poorly, and got yourself justifiably blocked. To top it off, rather than look inwardly and expand the internal limitations that caused your predicament, you've doubled down on the pettiness and are now even allowing it to bleed into your interactions with a completely different developer.
I'd strongly recommend some daily self-reflection.

good evening, I just finished episode 7 of the prologue and I have never been so sad this story touches me so much thank you for such a magnificent game can't wait to see the sequel (yes I really have tears especially with Emma when the mc remembers his name "Emy")
Okay, so I've finally finished playing all the way to end of the update with the modded walkthrough, and also did Emma's solo ending. I'm still missing those four gallery images and a couple scenes. I'm very thankful for the modded walkthrough, as I initially got to end without it and didn't realize I got kicked out of Aine's, Gwen's, and Karla's routes. I was also wondering why I didn't get all of their scenes, so yeah.
Sad to see Lily is going to be gone for a while. Hope she's back soon. She's by far the hottest girl in the game, with Gwen and Aine close behind for me.
Btw: Emma's 2nd and 3rd scenes are only unlockable in her solo route, and the 3rd scene is only unlocked if you chose to get her pregnant during the 2nd scene.
Also, are you friends with Eternum's developer or something? Like I know VNs like to reference other VNs, but you went as far as to include actual characters from Eternum, like Alex, and apparently Moon (although I don't remember seeing Moon in Eternum).
After finishing Emma's solo route, I'm wondering if there's some weird alternate timeline/time travel shit going on here? I assume that story is complete right? Her route is not getting anymore updates?
in Emma's solo route. The ending doesn't make sense with the age. How does the MC look so old, but Leah still looks so young? There can't have been that much of an age difference.

there are so many times the MC was compared to someone else who is older, such as the ex-husband of an old woman when the MC was a kid
(man, the flashbacks make me cry, and I haven't shed a tear for a few years or so)
Also, PLEASE make an option to see the name of the music, there's this specific song after telling Naomi about the MC an aide on her couch, and I love it. (I found it tho, it's Sultan's Swing by IBY and Ty Simon, I found it with Shazam)
